Currently, Babel Speech Therapy does not accept insurance. We do accept clients through the Regional Center of Orange County, and we are in the process of contracting with a couple insurance companies. Upon request, a superbill can be provided, which clients may submit to their insurance companies for possible reimbursement. Clients are advised to inquire with their insurance companies regarding superbills prior to initiating services.

The timeline of speech therapy depends on many factors, such as the specific communication challenges at hand and your child's ability to actively engage in sessions. While there is no one answer to this question, consistency and commitment to the treatment plan will determine how quickly your child will graduate from speech therapy.

Babel Speech Therapy no longer offers in-home services. Most sessions are conducted at our Fullerton clinic (1950 E. Chapman Ave. ste 3, Fullerton, CA 92831). However, some exceptions may be made for virtual therapy or on-campus sessions at your child's school, when appropriate and permitted.

Do you provide in-home services?

Although milestones are just one piece of the puzzle, if your child has not yet met age-appropriate communication milestones (see here and here for resources), a speech language evaluation may be warranted. Without an evaluation, it is difficult to make specific recommendations. However, I generally believe that if a child needs speech therapy, it is beneficial to start therapy sooner than later. In addition, early intervention not only benefits communication skills but strengthens overall development, including play and social skills.

How do I know when to seek out speech therapy services for my child as opposed to taking the “wait and see” approach?
